Sharing a passion for singing and creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to participate in music making are intrinsic to Sarah’s work.

Imaginative Arts Events

Community Gospel ChoirShe has created and conducted distinctive award winning arts events bringing together school, amateur and professional musicians in community performances attracting major ACE funding such as:

  • Timepiece, involving David Bedford’s commission From Clocks to Stars performed by Hilliard Ensemble, Ensemble Bash, and 100 primary schoolchildren
  • The Pity of War, music, art and poetry based around a performance of Britten’s War Requiem and involving secondary schools in Harlow
  • Syzygy involving Cameron Sinclair’s commission Say I am You, Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms, children from 6 Harlow schools, Britten Sinfonia, Harlow Chorus and Southend Boys and Girls Choirs.

Commercial sponsors for whom Sarah has managed arts events include J Sainsbury (BBC Choir of the Year Competition) and Whitbread (Music in Cities and Book of the Year).

Choir Workshops

A popular workshop leader with Britain’s choirs and choral organisations, Sarah is in huge demand as a vocal animateur, choral troubleshooter and motivator, individually tailoring workshops to the needs of specific choirs.
